At the Griffin Optometric Group, we take the time to do a thorough examination of your eyes every time you visit one of our offices. We encourage your questions and we take the time to give you all your options and our recommendations to fit your lifestyle and visual needs.
Our exams include the following tests:
- Refraction for glasses and/or contacts
- Test the focusing ability of your eyes for reading
- Test eye teaming
- Peripheral vision
- Complete eye health check, including glaucoma, cataracts, and dilation if needed.
- Refractive surgery screening and consultation
- Children are additionally tested for color deficiency and depth perception.

We, the doctors at Griffin Optometric Group, pride ourselves on fitting the most technologically advanced contact lenses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and bifocals. We continue to participate in clinical trials of new contact lens materials, designs and solutions. Whether you have been told you can not wear contacts, or if your present contacts are not giving you the best comfort or vision you want, we welcome the opportunity to discuss your options with you.
Order one year supply of contact lenses and have them shipped to your home free of charge.

All the doctors are certified and licensed to diagnose and treat eye infections. We are available to you if you experience any irritation, pain, discharge or redness. Prescriptions are written for antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication to treat and clear any problems you may have. Minor injuries of the eye are seen and either treated or referred out.
All emergencies are seen immediately and promptly, including weekend coverage. If the emergency is during the weekend or after hours, a call to the closest office will direct you to the doctors pager or cell phone.San Clemente - Downtown

We, the doctors at Griffin Optometric Group, are actively involved in refractive surgery. So much so, that 3 of us have had the procedure ourselves. From consultation, to pre-operative measurements, to post-operative care, we offer the most advanced care available. Don’t hesitate to ask if you are a candidate for refractive surgery.
To best meet the needs of our patients, we frequently work with NVISION Laser Eye Centers for refractive surgery.
